Solid Edge Web Publisher is an additional software module that makes it extremely fast and easy to share design information over the Internet or company intranets. Web Publisher is seamlessly integrated with Solid Edge, so you can publish web pages with Solid Edge 3D models and related data in seconds, directly from your Solid Edge design session, without any web publishing expertise. Using industry-leading technology developed by Immersive Design, Inc., Web Publisher facilitates access to design engineering data throughout the manufacturing enterprise and to customers and suppliers.

The Solid Edge Feature Recognizer adds parametric feature modeling intelligence to translated data, and supports interactive, automatic, or combined modes for converting 3D models to Solid Edge format. The Feature Recognizer allows editing of imported designs using Solid Edge feature-based design tools.

XpresRoute is an add-on module available in the Solid Edge Assembly environment to boost your design efficiency when creating tube parts. Fully integrated with Solid Edge, XpresRoute allows you to easily construct parts that move fluid, such as coolant and hydraulic fluid, from one point to another in an assembly. The XpresRoute module allows you to quickly define the 3D path between Solid Edge parts and the tube part properties. After defining these parameters, Solid Edge XpresRoute automatically constructs the tube part. Later, you can easily modify the basic tube part to add features to it.

The Solid Edge Engineering Handbook is an integrated add-on package that provides on-line reference and automatic parts creation for machinery designers. Developed by MechSoft.com, Inc., the Engineering Handbook includes:

• Calculations representing standard mathematical formulas and physical theories for a broad range of components
• Calculation-Driven Parts Generator that automatically creates Solid Edge models from engineering calculations
• On-line Engineering Handbook that documents algorithms, formulas and theories.

Dynamic Designer Motion builds on the Simply Motion built-in Solid Edge animation tool and allows the functional performance of your design to be evaluated.  Dynamic Designer Motion supports more sophisticated design that contain elements like cams, gears, and latches. It also supports element like springs, dampers, and general forces and moments. When the dynamic motion simulation is complete, you can display quantities like displacement, velocity, acceleration and reaction forces on XY plots, export this data to Excel for further analysis, and export resultant loads to FEA applications like DesignSpace for Solid Edge and DesignSTAR For Solid Edge.

3D Connexions SpaceBall® 4000 is as essential a tool as your mouse or keyboard, giving you the ability to manipulate 3D objects on the screen, while simultaneously controlling 3D camera angles and positions for viewing those objects. It’s a much more natural, free-flowing way to work. If you use a common interface, executing even simple moves requires a decision, then keystrokes and/or mouse clicks. This interrupts your natural motion, slowing you down and actually restricting you from attempting more complete or continuous motion. But, the greater flexibility and interactivity of a 3D motion controller makes even difficult moves easy. You're free to go farther and be even more creative.
