Title: ANSYS SpaceClaim for Additive Manufacturing and Rapid Prototyping

Date:  Wednesday, June 8, 2011

Time:  1:00 PM – 1:30 PM EDT

After registering you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the Webinar.

On June 8th ANSYS SpaceClaim will be hosting a webinar that will address  conventional opinion about additive manufacturing and rapid-prototyping.  It is a common complaint among manufacturing engineers that traditional CAD is not only difficult to operate, but that it is also time-consuming, and not at all user-friendly. ANSYS SpaceClaim 3D Modeling software changes all of that. With ANSYS SpaceClaim, users have a suite of tools at their disposal that allow them to quickly edit, repair, resize, and modify prototype designs with ease.  With ANSYS SpaceClaim it is now possible to find exact resolution for tessellation, split large parts into smaller print jobs, and solidify surface geometries. Come watch the webinar on June 8th to see how ANSYS SpaceClaim 3D modeling software is the fastest in the industry for engineering 3D prototypes.

Solid Technologies, Inc at the Design 2 Part Show – Phoenixville, PA

Solid Tech's Booth @ Design 2 Part

The Design-2-Part Tradeshow this past week was a great success! Solid Technologies had the unique privilege of exhibiting some exciting cutting-edge technology from Zcorp, ANSYS SpaceClaim, and CGI! If you were not at the show, here is a little more information about what we do, and how we demonstrated our wide variety of products.

Solid Technologies, stationed at booth 433, displayed numerous full color models created by our on-site 3D Printer.  The eye-catching models garnered plenty interest in the 3D Printing process as our Zprinter450 from Zcorp was actively printing during the exhibition.  The awesome sales team representing Solid Technologies was asked various questions about printing speed, color, material, and cost. Quite a lot of engineers requested a quote for the printer, or printing services.

Solid Technologies sales representatives also answered many questions about Zcorp’s ZBuilder, as many of its yellow plastic models were also on display. There was much excitement as customers engaged in hands-on interaction with the plastic models. A few customers left the show with quotes for rapid prototyping hardware.

The ANSYS SpaceClaim demonstration, at the far front of the exhibit, was also quite a draw. Those who took part in the demonstration were intrigued by the look and intuitive nature of the software.  They were even able to try their hand at ANSYS SpaceClaim’s user-friendly Pull, Move, Fill, and Combine tools that enable hands-on 3D design.

To the far right of the exhibit, different scanning technologies were creating quite a buzz.  CGI’s Cross-sectional scanner, the Pearl-700, drew in many engineers looking for an innovative, thorough, and rapid analysis of part quality.  Zcorp’s ZScanner was also being demonstrated scanning an entire to-scale model of the body of a car.  Engineers were encouraged to engage in the demonstration and found it exhilarating!

Thanks to all who came out to Oaks, PA and stopped by our booth!
